At Rising Tide Youth Foundation, we come from the same streets our youth are trying to survive.
We’ve lived the struggle—poverty, broken homes, violence, and the pull of the wrong path. That’s why we created this nonprofit—not just as a program, but as a lifeline.
We’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit devoted to keeping our youth safe, seen, and supported. Our mission is to lift kids out of cycles of gangs, incarceration, bullying, and hopelessness—and guide them toward a future full of purpose and pride.
We do this by offering what we wish we had growing up: free access to structured sports, real mentorship, and hands-on trade skills that lead to real careers. These aren’t just activities—they’re tools to build confidence, discipline, self-respect, and a deep sense of
belonging.
Through trusted partnerships with coaches, martial arts academies, and vocational programs, we create safe spaces where youth can grow into who they’re meant to be. Every session on the mat, every rep in the gym, every skill learned in a trade—it’s all about giving them a reason to believe in themselves. We stand strong against bullying, exclusion, and anything that breaks a young person down. Our spaces are built on inclusion, love, and second chances.
Over 85% of every donation goes directly to scholarships and programs, because we know how much every dollar matters. This is community work, heart work—and together, we’re helping the next generation rise above

ABOUT OUR
STORY
We come from East San Jose—raised in dysfunctional homes where violence, instability, and
survival were part of everyday life. Gangs were all around us. Positive role models were hard to
find. Like many kids in our neighborhoods, we grew up with more barriers than opportunities.
But we found a different path. Through sports and skilled trades, we discovered structure,
accountability, and purpose. We found spaces that pushed us to grow, connected us with
mentors, and gave us something real to build on. Those experiences didn’t just change our
lives—they saved them.
That’s why we founded Rising Tide Youth Foundation. We’re committed to keeping kids off the streets and away from gangs by connecting them to organized sports and hands-on trade programs in their own communities. We partner with local academies, teams, and training centers to provide full scholarships for youth—covering everything from registration to gear and tools. These programs already have strong foundations; we help make them accessible to those who need them most.
Every young person deserves a shot—regardless of where they come from or what their home
life looks like. We focus on breaking the cycle and showing kids that there’s another way
forward.
We’re not tied to any political movement or organization. We’re not here for attention. We’re
here to serve—because we’ve lived it, and we know what it takes to rise.

What We Do:
We partner with trusted local sports programs, academies, and trade schools to bring scholarships directly to the youth who need them most. By working with established organizations that already have their facilities and operations in place, we ensure that donations go further—covering training, gear, and mentorship rather than overhead. Our approach is grassroots and community-focused. We believe that local programs understand their youth best, and we support them in providing consistent, structured opportunities that keep kids engaged, off the streets, and on a path toward growth. Inclusivity is central to our mission. Regardless of physical ability, background, or circumstance, every young person deserves the chance to participate, belong, and build a better future. Rising Tide Youth Foundation operates independently—free from affiliation with any political group or specific sports organization. Our only focus is helping young people access transformative opportunities through sports and skilled trades.
